What stops people

Pick the one that sounds most like you.

Snapchat keeps the order in the account.

The app works out who you Snap and Chat with most, then keeps that ranking for the account holder. From the outside, the profile shows none of it.

OGAM reads the ranking from the username instead, and hands back the eight slots in the order the account holds them.

What Snapchat allows

The rule, as Snapchat writes it

Best Friends are the people you Snap and Chat with the most. There can be up to eight of them, the list is rebuilt as the account is used, and a friend can tell whether they are on it while nobody else gets to see the whole thing.

What that means for you

The ranking is already written, and it was written by their own snapping, not by a guess. Reading it is the whole job here: eight slots, their order, the snap score beside them and what sits in My Eyes Only.

What it will not do

It does not open their chats and it does not hand you the snaps themselves. Those sit behind the account, and that is where they stay.

What you get is the circle around the account: the eight Best Friends in order, who they have been snapping, the snap score and the My Eyes Only memories. If what you want is a name and a rank, that is enough. If you want their messages, close the tab.
